James I. "Bud" Robertson

Bud Robertson recently retired as Alumni Distinguished Professor in History at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is the author of many books including Stonewall Jackson: The Man, the Soldier, the Legend; General A. P. Hill: The Story of a Confederate Warrior; and Robert E. Lee: Virginian Soldier, American Citizen.


Jay Jorgensen

Jay Jorgensen is President and co-founder of the Robert E. Lee Fellowship, and an experienced tour guide of American Revolutionary War sites and Civil War battlefields. He is the author of many articles on the Revolution and several books on the Civil War including Gettysburg’s Bloody Wheatfield.

Stephen Lee Ritchie

Steve Ritchie is a veteran tour lead of Civil War tours in the Shenandoah Valley and is widely regarded as the leading authority on Turner Ashby. He is the co-director and co-founder of the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Institute of the CWEA, and the vice-president and co-founder of the Robert E Lee Fellowship.

Jeffry D. Wert

Jeff Wert is the author of many books including Brotherhood of Valor: The Common Soldiers of the Stonewall Brigade, CSA and the Iron Brigade, USA; Cavalryman of the Lost Cause: A Biography of J. E. B. Stuart; The Sword of Lincoln: The Army of the Potomac; and the soon to be released A Glorious Army: Robert E. Lee’s Triumph, 1862-1863.

Brian Steel Wills

Brian Steel Wills is the Director of the Center for the Study of the Civil War Era and Professor of History at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. He is the author of numerous works relating to the American Civil War including The River Was Dyed with Blood: Nathan Bedford Forrest and Fort Pillow; A Battle From the Start: The Life of Nathan Bedford Forrest; The War in Southeastern Virginia and George Henry Thomas: As True as Steel.
